Black and white urban
Black and white urban

Clair The Cape Queen continues to explore the urban areas in her part of Mercia and she’s constantly finding interesting architecture. Much of it’s from the Victorian and Edwardian eras and so far we’ve not really come across anything from the Brutalist school – well, not yet anyway.
We present these images in black and white form, as a nod to the architecture magazines of the past. And, of course, the rainwear magazines too. Our period-toned colour images do, in our minds, work well, but black and white brings out more in terms of texture and light and shade. Black and white encourages more viewer curiosity too and we hope you’ll enjoy this run of images.
And, as always, comments welcome: Do you prefer colour or black and white?
