It’s time to say goodbye to some of our capes: Miss Pluv’ says there are too many in the collection and that means some have to go.
And that means you’ll see us selling capes worn by Miss Pluv’ and Clair the Cape Queen. And for loyal followers there will be a personalised note from them too, just as an extra thank you.
We’ll be offering more capes in the near future but if you see one you like, send us an email for how to pay and we’ll post it off to you straight away!
1980s style – and purple too
We think this Jeantex cape is just the thing for walking or cycling: it’s light, strong and has a decent hood to shrug off those pesky showers.

Hunter cape – prestige and practicality
In the pantheon of raincape ‘names’ Hunter remains just about the best there is. The quality is always first class and that means they’ll last a long time, and as they get older their patination adds character and tells stories of times worn.
For those who’ve never owned one this small yellow Hunter cape could be the answer, being in extremely good condition apart from a couple of storage marks. We love it, but it has to go to make room for some more vintage capes we’ve bought recently. Don’t miss out – as they say, once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Cut a raincape dash, ’60s-style
Parting can be difficult but after much wearing Clair The Cape Queen has decided this 1960s (we think) plastic cape should go to a new home.
It’s long, it’s slightly blue, it has a decent collar and it’s big enough to wear a jumper underneath. It’s in fair condition – please note one of the pop fasteners is long gone – but it has a true 1960s rain-resisting look and would be a great part of any cape collection.

True vintage long clear cape
There’s something just so right about this long clear pvc number: whether it’s the length or the way it hangs or just that being clear is so 1960s/early-1970s evocative, it just works on every level. It’s offered in fine order, with little signs of wear.
It looks the part and is ideal for smart occasions as well as casual or informal use. Off to the shops and it looks like rain? Ideal. Smart night out and you don’t want to get your finery damp? Again, it’s ideal.

Long, green and sounds good too!
It’s long, it’s a very dark green and it has a hood. This generously-proportioned pvc cape is just the thing for anyone who likes their capes utterly cocooning. It sounds good too.
Miss Pluv’ says it shows some signs of use but it’s in very tidy condition while the hood’s nice and big so you can get a bobble hat underneath. The arm slits make it more practical if you’re going shopping.
