Capes on Tour: Macclesfield, part 4

Looking back just a few weeks to that VERY wet day in Macclesfield it’s lucky Clair The Cape Queen was more than adequately prepared for the deluge to come. And rain it did, to paraphrase Sister Rosetta Tharpe.

But the 1970s plastic cape did the job, shrugging off the rain with great ease. It looked good too, and entirely suited the traditional setting of this top-class town.

But…. Next time we’re there, maybe it won’t rain. Or maybe it will…
