Capes on Tour – Weston-super-Mare Part 1

1

There’s a first time for everything, so it’s said, and a trip to never-before-visited Weston-super-Mare to catch up with cape-wearing Lilitth was a great excuse to head East up the M4 and make a right on to the M5.

The Victorian seaside town has plenty of charm, a cracking railway station from the Brunel era and there’s a lack of tackiness too many British seaside towns suffer from. Luckily the sun lifted not long after our arrival and Lilitth, in a 1960s cycle cape from VintageCapsule (find ‘em on Etsy) was just the thing.

And so, it seems, thought those out for a stroll alongside the beach. We’re often led to believe there’s no interest in capes but judging by the admiring glances garnered by Lilitth, that’s emphatically not the case….
