Mellow yellow – or is it?

After the red, the yellow, as The Cape Queen donned an old-school cycle cape to thwart the showers that decided to descend on a Mercia town. Luckily the shopping trip was delayed by a matter of seconds as Clair put her cape on.

And you couldn’t fail to miss her – not only because of the colour, but the rustling sound this cape makes. And a scratchy rustling it certainly serves up, courtesy of the somewhat brittle material it’s made from.

It looked the part among the older architecture – The Cape Queen likes to dress appropriately in a cape version of Situationism – and it was utterly functional too.
