Pluvmantelo has managed to catch up with raincape enthusiast (and Polaroid photographer) Miss Meatface to find out a bit more about her cape collection and, of course, her cape love. Combined with her Polaroid photography, we think Miss Meatface has the cape look well and truly captured!

Would Miss Meatface describe herself as a real raincapeist?

I think that she would describe herself as an enthusiast. At this point she probably couldn’t be considered a full-blown raincapeist, she needs a few more raincapes in her collection before that title can be bestowed.

How many raincapes does she have?

There are three clear vinyl raincapes and two latex raincapes hanging in her wardrobe currently.

Are they vintage or are there some new interlopers?

They are all new pieces unfortunately, as much as she would love to own original vintage raincapes she also has to be budget conscious at this point in time.

Does she have a preference when it comes to material (oilskin, PVC or rubber) and colours (clear or solid?)

Well it really all depends on what kind of mood she is in, for trekking through the forest she prefers a thick PVC but for lounging at home she prefers rubber.

Does Miss Meatface wear a rain cape in everyday life, or solely for shoots?

She enjoys wearing rain capes for both everyday life and in shoots.

Does she feel her capes really suit the Polaroid photograph look?

Oh most definitely, for her rain capes and Polaroid cameras go hand-in-hand!
