One of the most classic capes

It’s one of the simplest yet most wonderful capes in the Pluvmantelo collection, and it’s one Clair The Cape Queen really appreciates.

And there is so much to like about this cape: it’s long enough – but not too long – it’s heavy (which is good) and a heavy raincape is always a good raincape, and it has a lovely collar.

But then there are the flaps on the arm slits. They’re beautifully crafted and Clair says when they’re fastened and the collar is up, she’s completely protected against the elements. And that’s the feeling Clair says she likes, being snug, warm and dry.

There’s more to this cape. It has a fine tartan lining, which makes it smarter. All the detailing is positively first-class.

And it hangs so well, and that means when Clair’s wearing it in town she cuts a real dash among the shoppers, sometimes causing people to do a double-take.

We also should point out it sounds good too. There’s that warm, muted slocky sound that raincape lovers truly understand, others don’t.

In all, it’s a fabulous cape and essential in any damp or wet weather. And we love it.
