Severn Capes

Severn Capes

thumbnail-3

Just what is it about the final stretch of the River Severn that’s so appealing? After all, being Britain’s longest river at 220 miles long, it’s clearly going to be very picturesque many times over. But it’s that final stretch as it passes below the M48 and M4 bridges where it’s at its wildest and its most charismatic.

This stretch of the Severn made a fine backdrop for the first Pluvmantelo shoot. In the shadow of the M4 crossing model Tide donned a selection of capes including a red, super-rare Bormax pvc number, a green Rukka (always a popular choice with capeists), a new old-stock Lillywhite cycle cape and a clear yellow Stormcheetah.

Tide took to the capes like a seagull to the fast-flowing Severn – well, more, if truth be told – and the original M4 bridge, opened in 1966 and now Grade 1 listed added a turnback-time backdrop to our shoot.
