Severn Wonders

Decent sunshine might not seem compatible with a raincape but as model UW showed they can look good, irrespective of the sky’s colour and whatever is (or isn’t) falling from it.
The Severn Bridge crossing made a decent backdrop and provided some welcome shade to our shoot and, while the later structure lacks the elegance of the original M4 Severn Bridge, it has a kool industrial air to it, while overshadowing a ‘beach’ that’s reminiscent of Canvey Island and the Isle of Sheppey.
UW began the shoot in a red Bormax cape, moving onto a fine-condition yellow Stormcheetah and then a green Rukka number – always popular in the Finnish company’s mid-green. As the midday sun rose above the Severn Estuary she changed to a no-name long clear plastic cape and a black rubber one which again we don’t know anything about because it has no label. It’s clearly older and, to our eyes at least, probably from the 1960s.
