Shrugging off the rain
Shrugging off the rain

A day for wandering around the town, taking in a bookshop (where books were bought) and maybe a coffee later. It was all good, despite the rain.
And rain it did. Loads and loads of it, for a good couple of hours. Luckily and no doubt unsurprisingly Clair the Cape Queen wasn’t in the slightest bit concerned because before setting off she’d put on her 1950s British army cape.
It’s a heavy cape but it shrugs off the rain and in an urban environment it looks great too. A few years ago it didn’t cost too much, but a look around some auction websites shows prices are on the rise. And who knows? Could values rise further thanks to Clair the Cape Queen?
