The office backdrop

In Clair The Cape Queen’s part of the world there’s plenty of old (and older) buildings: various towns have provided great backdrops for our shoots this year and there are definitely more to come.

We came across this 1930s office building recently and while unfortunately it had modern plastic windows, we felt it was part of the Pluvmantelo ethos of shunning the modern for the more established, whether it’s a building or a car. Or any other things you can think of!

Clair’s old rubber cape came from a French vintage/classic clobber dealer friend of ours and Clair’s happy to admit it’s one of her favourite capes. We don’t blame her: it’s simply designed, is a low-key colour and, so The Cape Queen tells us, it’s entirely waterproof too. In other words, what more could you want?
