Wrapped up against the elements

The snow’s been and gone – for now – in The Cape Queen’s part of Mercia, but with the threat of more snow and plunging temperatures she was well prepared, whatever the sky threw at her.

For this outing Clair dug out a 1950s Slickon cape that she’s had for a good few years and despite its age it looks good and still, with a big jumper underneath, keeps her warm. The shiny black oilskin added a dramatic side to the winter sky too
