In 1978 The Stranglers released a three-track single, ‘Walk On By’/‘Tank’/‘Old Codger’, the new wave seven-inch peaking at number 21. Whether Clair The Cape Queen was thinking of Surrey’s finest we don’t know, but she showed us the abandoned Sherman tank she’d discovered in the wild moors of Mercia. The voluminous rubber military cape she wore was entirely appropriate, not only because of the tank but also the wild, unforgiving weather she had to put up with. But a large cape such as this one meant The Cape Queen was dry and warm. So… kool and practical and lookin’ good, mixed with some military history: The Cape Queen nailed it.

Tu es absolument Magnifique avec Ta Merveilleuse Grande Cape Militaire. J’ai la même… Nous avons toutes les deux les mêmes Goûts. Comme j’Aimerais être avec Toi, ensemble, toutes les deux vêtues avec nos Capes toute la journée….. et aussi certainement la nuit. we had a nasty weather in our small City and I was wearing my semi transparent black Cape. Our Capes are really a good bargain. Next week we are on holidays I think we take our capes with us. My wife is very fond of her enclosed cape.
And we have the semi black one and my preferred green cape with us.
So the rain can come…

Tahnk you for your message. I enjoy all of my capes. I did wear them in town too I actually have some images on the way from my shopping escapades. I do enjoy wearing them. We had showers today so put my rubberised style cape on to protect me. You shall see images soon. I do like to hear of yourself and your wife’s joy wearing your capes.
