The Cape Queen heads to the shops

Even Clair The Cape Queen has to visit the shops and with the rain falling a cape was needed to keep her dry. Today it was her sweet bag cape – so-called because its stripes reminded her of the paper bags you’d put loose sweets in at any now long-gone confectioner. Yet this cape didn’t come from Mercia but the west coast of Canada. Dating from the 1960s it’s still in utterly perfect condition too, and what better way to stay dry when going shopping?

I like you very much with your sweet bag raincape. It’s lovely ! What’s the différence with Polka cape ? The stripes ? What’s the name, your are so beautiful, Dear Clair. I am a man, but I would like wearing the two. Very nice and elegant. And very agreable to wear.
