…to be honest it didn’t, because the bandstand was empty apart from Clair The Cape Queen. And despite the sunshine Clair went for her late-‘60s/early-‘70s floral print cape – a guaranteed head-turner each and every time she wears it, so we hear. And in the pantheon of classic raincapes, floral print examples aren’t exactly commonplace. This one might have a muted air but it still looks superb, and particularly so on this bright day.
