A trip to Mercia

A trip to Mercia

More industrial heritage exploring, more sunshine and more cape-wearing courtesy of Clair The Cape Queen.

Hot and sunny the day might have been but that didn’t stop her putting on her tonic, two-tone nylon cape whose colouring is just like the suits worn by mods six or so decades ago. And yes, there was the Belstaff wall to visit.

Belstaff was founded in 1924 so it’s just passed its centenary. The company has changed a few times but it’s still with us and still highly regarded around the world. Perhaps Clair should ask them to start making oilskin raincapes again…
