Weymouth – the traditional seaside town that just keeps on giving when it comes to suitable cape backdrops. And, of course, it’s somewhere The Cape Queen likes visiting.

That afternoon it was the turn of a 1980s nylon cape in an entirely fetching red: it contrasted nobly with the art deco building on the seafront and also kept the showers and the sea breeze at bay.

And, of course, it just looked kool: what’s wrong with that?
