The Doors of Caperception

Strange how a theme can develop when Clair The Cape Queen’s out and about in town and, quite by accident, one developed on a recent trip out. The town – one with many old building and few appalling modern ones – has its character unashamedly on display courtesy of its doorways, gates and entrances.

And so our Doors of Caperception thread came about: as always, the best ideas come along when least expected and that’s clearly the case here. And a goodly selection of those doorways et al gave us some fine backdrops and in a few instances some great signage too.

It’s often said when walking around a town you should look up – it’s a philosophy The Cape Queen practices – but it’s often important to see what’s right in front of you and what’s beside you. That’s the case here and we hope you enjoy these pictures.
