Capes on Tour – Weymouth, part one
Capes on Tour – Weymouth, part one

The Cape Queen’s been out and about and we managed to catch up with her in traditional south coast holiday town Weymouth. It’s a proper, almost as you’d expect destination but it’s fortunately without the tackiness you might expect to find. Yes, there are bucket ‘n’ spade shops and ice cream parlours, but there’s a decent, wholesome air to the town.
And the beach is great. It’s a mixture of shingle and sand and the sandy is pure, clean and great to walk on. On the day we visited it was blustery and there was the chance of some rain, so The Cape Queen dug out her 1970s clear orange cape, just in case that happened. And it did – slightly.
