Capes on Tour – Weymouth, part five. The shopfronts and more

Back in Weymouth, where the shopfronts are proper, in the way no modern British high street could ever emulate.
There’s character in the Weymouth shops’ fronts: Really good typefaces, really good colours and a vibrancy that makes a trip along this seafront all the more wonderful. No generic colours and typefaces and consequently dull emporia of tat: Weymouth, like other seaside towns, serves up joy year in, year out.
And The Cape Queen enjoyed her stroll along the prom’ in her 1970s’ nylon cape checking out the shops: an entirely appropriate way of dressing on that damp, blustery day we think.
