Capes on Tour – Weymouth, part two

Back on the delightfully clear, pure sands of Weymouth for The Cape Queen and again the blustery wind kept her cape billowing.

We know what a big wheel is, but the other beach-domiciled structure was something else, being something like a 1950s interpretation of a spacecraft. Nevertheless, a great backdrop it made and one that was certainly a bit different.

The question is: when was a raincape last worn on Weymouth’s sands? We’d love to know, even though the answer won’t be forthcoming. But in the meantime, enjoy these images…
