With the onset of Autumn the leaves and trees can have dramatic colours. But out on the moors there was little in the way of colour from the grass, while the local stone lacks the friendly warmth of, say, that found in the Cotswolds.
But there was colour. Lots of colour. Cheerful, eye-catching colour. Colour that came from a certain lady wearing a bright outfit. And some capes. Step forward The Cape Queen, out enjoying a blustery afternoon away from the crowds.
Two capes, one blue, one clear – well protected against the drizzle – and then the sun came out. Time for some scrambling over a stile and exploring the moors, accompanied by the sound of the cape’s swishing. An utterly cape-tastic afternoon with cape visual and audible sensory overload…
